Mission of the UDT-SEAL Association's Member Life Assistance Program (MLAP)
The MLAP is to provide services that positively impact quality of life for individuals and their families by providing programs and information that are consistently available, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the individual, or family member, seeking assistance.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
The UDT-SEAL Association, Member Life Assistance Program (MLAP) in conjunction with Operational Advocates Supporting Injured Services (OASIS) Group will be holding an informational Veterans Administration Benefits Seminar on Thursday, 31 March 2011 at the Navy SEAL Heritage Center, Joint Expeditionary Base - Little Creek, VA.
The target audience is active duty, reserve, retired and separated members of the NSW community and their dependents wanting to learn more about their VA benefits. Topics will cover compensation, medical care, education and other pertinent issues related to the special operations community.
If you wish to file an VA claim or would like a specialist to evaluate the possible need for an appeal please sign up for a 45 min personal evaluation session. Sessions will run on the hour starting from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Thursday, 31 March and continue at 8:00am to 5:00pm on Friday, 1 April.
You can sign-up by emailing mlap@udtseal.org with your requested appointment day and your preferred hourly time slot. All appointments will be seen however we the time slots will be prioritized based on individuals traveling to the area to attend the seminar and those separating from service within 12 months or less.
If you are requesting a personal appointment please take a moment to view the checklists found on the association website under the MLAP banner. Although, the only documentation requested for you to bring to an individual appointment is your military and/or civilian medical records, if applicable, it is encouraged you begin to locate the your supporting documentation listed on the forms as much of these items will be necessary to file your VA claim.
